India Mission

The Church at Barrackville is pleased to enter into a relationship of oversight for the India Mission conducted by Ron Clayton. This established mission has been responsible for encouraging hundreds of thousands of brethren in India to dedicate their lives to the Church built by Jesus Christ.

This oversight was encouraged by both Brother Ron Clayton, his team and the Barrackville Church. The official date when the Westhill Church in Cleburne, Texas turned oversight to the Barrackville Church was January 1, 2008.

The Westhill congregation still believes in what the India brethren are doing, and plan to continue supporting that work financially.

One of Brother Ron's primary concerns was to find a congregation that already had a great interest in the India work. One of the reasons that Brother Ron looked toward the congregation at Barrackville was because of the efforts of Brother Steve Snider.

Brother Snider has made 16 trips to India in the past 15 years. Brother Steve is not only the preacher, but also one of the elders of the Lord's Church in Barrackville. Brothers Robert Hall and Ben Renegar (along with an Indian Brother who is a devout Christian and preacher) traveled to Barrackville to meet with the elders. These brethren were visiting various congregations in search of support for the India Missionary work.

This provided an opportunity for those brethren to answer any questions the elders and members at Barrackville might have. Various meetings with Robert and Ben were held to discuss various issues regarding the possibility of their accepting the oversight of the work in India.

After much prayer and consideration, the elders of the Barrackville Church have decided to take on the responsibility of overseeing the work in India. This is an enormous responsibility, one which Brother Steve understands better than most elders, because he has been to India numerous times. He has been intimately involved in this work, and has seen the scope and size of what is being done. The elders look forward to working with Brother Ron and his team in the future.

Brother Ron has also expressed his excitement to work under Barrackville's guidance and leadership.
